Equador MVNZ is a stunning, tall black gelding with a strong top line and powerful hindquarters as well as three beautiful paces. With his huge scope, brave bold jump and ground covering stride he has excelled to the top level with Brook Dobbin in Australia. Equador MVNZ has shown much ability as a young horse, winning the 6yr old Horse of the Year title in March 2014. He was winning up to Grand Prix level in NZ before moving to Australia where Brook Dobbin competed him successfully up to World Cup level. We’re excited about his future!

Both sides of Equador‘s superb bloodlines have proven successes on the world stage, both in the competition arena and as stallions at stud. His Sire, Chin Chin (VDL STUD) is one of the most successful performance sires in the world. His offspring have scored highly in the keurings in Holland. There are many of his progeny competing successfully at top level in Europe. Chin Chin had a very impressive jumping career with his former owner and rider Jaime Azcarraga from Mexico. This combination participated successfully for more than five years at International level during which time, the scope, character and suppleness Chin Chin jumped with, always aided his determined but amateur rider.
His Dam, Sereedom VDL, was imported from Holland in 2002, and was purchased not only as a breeding proposition, but also as a potential competition horse. She has had a very successful jumping career in New Zealand, competing up to Grand Prix level.
His Dam sire, Indoctro needs no introduction being one of the best producing stallions in the world today. He has countless offspring in all levels of the jumping sport, along with several approved sons.

Equador‘s older half brothers – Whittaker MVNZ and Britannica MVNZ – are very talented and accomplished Sporthorses.
Whittaker MVNZ is now competing at 1.60m level with Laura Linback (USA). He won and had top finishes in many of the classes he has competed in winning over US $250,000 in prize money. In his first season he  competed at Grand Prix level in the USA, he won 6 Grand Prix‘s in a row!
Britannica MVNZ came fifth at the Taupo 3 day in May 2013, after just three starts at 3* level! He was successfully competed at 4* level by Will Enzinger in Australia before selling to USA.
