The week of the iconic Takapoto Estate Show Jumping

Takapoto Estate Show Jumping may have been cut short this year but it did not disappoint with a taste of European showjumping in New Zealand.

There was a number of MVNZ bred horses competing in a variety of classes from the Young horse classes to the Silver Tour.

Rachel Malcolm and Onessa MVNZ took both the class and the style prize in the Seven-Year-Old class and were the only pair of 15 riders to go double clear over the Greg Best-designed course.

Sophia Blackbourn and Octavia MVNZ were at the front of the 81-strong Bronze Tour Qualifier 2. The speed class produced 22 clears but no-one could match Sophia’s 70.03-second round. The pair finished in the top 10 of the Bronze Tour Final.

Laura Inkster and Nikama MVNZ placed 2nd in the Silver Tour Qualifier 1 with a double clear picking up just one single time penalty and finished 9th out of 30 combinations in the Silver Tour Final.

Oprah MVNZ and Picasso MVNZ just missed out on qualifying for the Copper Tour Final but had some great rounds in the Qualifiers to gain experience.
