This elegant, leggy colt is a full brother to Spiritus MVNZ. Figaro MVNZ is a modern type with a great hind end and lovely sloping shoulder. He moves very well with big expressive paces. His inquisitive personality completes the picture.

Figaro MVNZ was competed by Samantha Lissington up to CIC1* eventing in NZ before selling to the UK.

Breeding

Dam Delaney LS is by Distelfink, a Hanoverian stallion by Diskus. Distelfink was licensed as a breeding stallion in Germny prior to importing into New Zealand in 1982. Distelfink produced Horse of the Year Winners, Young Horse of the Year, Show Hunter of the Year and national champions in dressage and eventing. He was 3rd on the WBCSH/FEI sires list for event horses in 1997/98 season.

Sire Senator VDL was bred at the world famous VDL Stud in Holland. On both sides of his family, he has very potent jumping blood: Corland, Cor de la Bryere, Landgraf, Voltaire and Nimmerdor. His progeny out competing are scopey and careful and are competitive sporthorses both in showjumping and eventing. Senator VDL is sire of the top New Zealand eventing horse, Balmoral Sensation, who was placed 5th at the Badminton Horse Trials 2016 and 6th at the Rio Olympics.
